Awareness During Teaching
Teachers need to be proactive in safety.
This course focuses on what teachers and administrators can do if and when a act of violence occurs between students or against an educator. We deal with all types of use of force depending on the occurrence and what takes place. Classes will cover the following:
- What types of responses can be performed by an educator without worrying about liability.
- How to handle different types of confrontational encounters:
- Male to male
- Male to female
- Female to female
- Awareness of surroundings and the evaluation of a given situation.
- Common attacks against teachers and escape techniques
